Hosur Drop Taxi (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides one-way and round-trip cab services starting from Hosur and nearby areas. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.

  • Contact details: name, phone number, email address.
  • Booking details: pickup & drop locations, dates, times, preferences, passenger count.
  • Payment details: payment method, transaction IDs (processed securely by our payment partner; we don’t store full card details).
  • Device/usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and interactions for analytics and security.
  • Driver app/operations data (if applicable): live location during an active trip, trip distance & duration for billing and safety.

3) How we use your data

  • To create and manage bookings, dispatch rides, and provide customer support.
  • To calculate fares, process payments, issue invoices, and handle refunds.
  • To send trip updates, service messages, and important notifications.
  • To improve our website, services, safety, and fraud prevention.
  • With your consent, to share offers or updates via email/SMS/WhatsApp (opt-out anytime).

4) Legal bases we rely on

We process data on one or more of the following bases: (a) your consent; (b) performance of a contract (your booking); (c) legitimate interests (service improvement, fraud prevention); (d) compliance with legal obligations (tax, law enforcement requests).

5) Cookies & analytics

We use cookies to keep sessions secure and to understand site usage. We may use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure traffic and performance.

6) Payment processing

8) Data retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

9) Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege policies) to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10) Your choices & rights

  • Access/Update: request a copy or correction of your data.
  • Delete: ask us to delete your data where applicable.
  • Opt-out of marketing: use unsubscribe links or contact us.
  • Consent withdrawal: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it anytime.

11) Children’s privacy

Our services aren’t directed to children under 18. If you believe a child provided us personal data, contact us and we’ll take appropriate steps to remove it.

Some service providers may be located outside India. Where used, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (contractual protections, data minimization).

Our site may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies; please review those when you visit them.
